Two tracks produced at Red Bull Studio

In April I was approached by Red Bull Studio Cape Town to produce two tracks for them, as long as the tracks were produced in the awesome studios in Jamieson Street I had free reign over both tracks. How could I say no?!

I decided to make the focal point of both tracks on the low end, courtesy of the insanely desirable Moog Little Phatty in the studio. Apart from that I recorded lots of little samples and sounds from the other analogue hardware in the studio. The rest was arranged and mixed down in Ableton.

Grey Area Part II

This mix represents the second part to an older mix I did (Grey Area Part I), which showcased my atmospheric and darker progressive, minimal and techno tracks. This one is no different, except for the introduction of dub techno into my sets.

Also included is my first finished (and slightly dodgy) production. :p

Whomp-FM described it as ‘that middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge…’

Kink Promo – Stripped Saturday Nights

This mix represents a few of my favourite tracks over the first half of 2009 and one or two older tracks which I could not resist.

It’s a mostly smooth deep minimal techno mix & represents the kind of sound I was playing at my monthly residency at Kink in Cape Town.
